Tips
As
you read through these time tested tips, keep these two thoughts in mind.
1. Keep it
simple.
2. Discomfort
leads to distraction and possible loss of attention span.
Indoor
Seating Arrangement
Kids sitting on the floor makes it easier on you and allows each
child to easily maneuver to the best viewing spot.
Outdoor
Seating Arrangement
Throw some blankets on the ground. If the ground is real damp,
wet or cold you might want to consider setting up chairs or some
benches.
Summer
Sun
If possible have the children sit under a shaded area (tree,
roof overhang) For the real hot days keep a squirt bottle
handy and spray the kids every now and then.
Running
A Time Ship
If you are to have the magic show towards the beginning of the
party (recommended) try to give at least 15 to 20
minutes for guests to arrive. One little trick to ensure
fashionably late moms for being punctual is to send out
invitations stating the start time of the magic show.
Example:
11:00 Party Start Time - 11:15 Magic Show
Perfect
Party
Party
Start - Magic Show - Food (optional) - Games
(piņata, musical chairs) - Cake - Unwrapping
Presents - Bye Bye Party's Over
Not
Recommended
Munching on lunch during the magic portion. The audience will be
laughing hard and unless you have a Heimlich Maneuver Chart
hanging on the wall not a good idea.
Welch's grape juice, Dixie Cups and a white Persian Rug.
